A imagem em preto e branco, segundo explicou a Agência Espacial Chinesa (CNSA), mostra a rampa no módulo de pouso estendida até a superfície de Marte, no local de pouso - a área chamada "Utopia Planitia".

After successfully landing its Zhurong guided robot on the surface of Mars last week, China released today the first images captured by the mission during and shortly after its landing on the red planet.

The black and white image, as explained by the Chinese Space Agency (CNSA), shows the ramp in the landing module extended to the surface of Mars, at the landing site - the area called "Utopia Planitia".
 

Trata-se de uma vasta planície localizada no hemisfério norte do planeta, com diâmetro aproximado de 3.300 quilômetros, causada por algum enorme asteroide. Foi lá que a sonda Viking 2, da Nasa, pousou em 1976.

De acordo com publicação no Twitter, o Zhurong segue no local e tudo corre bem.

"Preparando para o desdobramento final e missões científicas. Água e gelo sob a superfície de Marte a 100 m de profundidade? Prestes a descobrir!", destaca a mensagem.

It is a vast plain located in the northern hemisphere of the planet, with an approximate diameter of 3,300 kilometers, caused by some huge asteroid. It was there that NASA's Viking 2 probe landed in 1976.

According to a publication on Twitter, Zhurong is still on site and everything is going well.

"Preparing for the final deployment and scientific missions. Water and ice under the surface of Mars at 100 m depth? About to discover!", Highlights the message.

A segunda imagem, em cores, foi tirada pela câmera de navegação instalada na parte traseira do robô e mostra os seus painéis solares e antena abertos.

O solo vermelho e as rochas na superfície marciana também são claramente visíveis na imagem.

Foram divulgadas ainda duas imagens que mostram o momento em que o rover se desprendeu da sonda para pousar em Marte.

The second image, in color, was taken by the navigation camera installed at the rear of the robot and shows its solar panels and antenna open.

The red soil and rocks on the Martian surface are also clearly visible in the image.

Two images were also released showing the moment when the rover detached itself from the probe to land on Mars.

Em breve, a sonda dará início aos estudos na região. Pesando aproximadamente 250 quilos, o Zhurong foi projetado para atuar 90 dias no planeta - podendo durar mais -, movido a energia solar.

Ele carrega seis instrumentos, incluindo um sistema de espectroscopia a laser (para detectar elementos de superfície, minerais e tipos de rochas), leitores de imagens topográficas e multiespectrais, de campo magnético e de clima, e câmeras panorâmica e multiespectral.

Soon, the probe will begin studies in the region. Weighing approximately 250 kilos, the Zhurong was designed to operate 90 days on the planet - and could last longer -, powered by solar energy.

It carries six instruments, including a laser spectroscopy system (to detect surface elements, minerals and types of rocks), readers of topographic and multispectral images, magnetic field and climate, and panoramic and multispectral cameras.

O robô também é equipado com um radar para penetração no solo -algo que é novidade em Marte. Entre os objetivos da missão estão o de trazer novas informações sobre o planeta, como detectar camadas geológicas, depósitos de sal, evidências de gelo e de um suposto lago subterrâneo, além de buscar evidências de alguma possível atividade biológica microbiana.

Os chineses lançaram sua missão não tripulada "Tianwen-1" da Terra no final de julho de 2020. Ela é composta por três elementos: uma sonda orbital (que gira em torno do astro), uma sonda (que pousou em Marte) e o Zhurong.

Além da Tianwen-1, outras duas missões chegaram a Marte neste ano: a primeira foi a Hope Mars, dos Emirados Árabes Unidos, que não irá pousar no planeta, e a última foi a Mars 2020, dos Estados Unidos, levando o rover Perseverance e o helicóptero Ingenuity.

The robot is also equipped with a ground-penetrating radar - something new on Mars. Among the objectives of the mission are to bring new information about the planet, such as detecting geological layers, salt deposits, evidence of ice and a supposed underground lake, in addition to seeking evidence of some possible microbial biological activity.

The Chinese launched their unmanned mission "Tianwen-1" from Earth in late July 2020. It consists of three elements: an orbiter (which revolves around the star), a probe (which has landed on Mars) and the Zhurong.

In addition to Tianwen-1, two other missions arrived on Mars this year: the first was Hope Mars, from the United Arab Emirates, which will not land on the planet, and the last was Mars 2020, from the United States, taking the Perseverance rover and the Ingenuity helicopter.
